| Summary: The treatment of isolated supination-eversion stage II fractures treated with Aircast Air-Stirrup® Ankle Braces or DonJoy Range-of-Motion-Walker braces was examined in this randomized clinical trial. Though three months after injury, there were no observable differences in pain, swelling, range-of-motion, inflammation, or ambulatory status, "[s]ubjective satisfaction with comfort and ease of use was significantly higher with Aircast". For this study, "the Aircast ankle brace cost $40 and the DonJoy ROM-Walker cost $110." |
